Mercedes-Benz has launched the Mercedes-AMG G 63 ‘Edition 463’ and Mercedes-AMG GLS 63 in India added with the existing 6 SUV’s by Mercedes-Benz. ‘Globally, the ‘G series’ has been for almost four decades, since 1979 . The company’s position in luxury performance segment is spearheaded by the AMG sub-brand globally and expanded the premium SUV segment by the Mercedes-AMG G 63 ‘Edition 463’ and Mercedes-AMG GLS 63.
Mercedes- AMG G63 ’Edition 463’
The new Mercedes-AMG G 63 ‘Edition 463’ is powered by a supercharged 5.5-litre V8-petrol engine which throws the SUV at 563bhp and a maximum torque of 760 Nm with 0 -100 kmph in 5.4 seconds. It has an electronically-limited top speed of 210 kmph.
The exterior looks sporty and massive.The Mercedes-AMG G63 Edition 463 gets a stainless-steel underride guard, dark aluminium finished exterior protective strips,Muscular Look , AMG Sport strips , and new 21-inch 5-twin-spoke alloy wheels in Matte black finish.
The interior is filled up in a single-tone black leather finish, twin-tone black and light brown leather seat upholstery and dual-tone finished centre console with colour-coordinated top-stitching on dashboard, front and rear door handles, armrest, handbrake, seat covers and front and rear head restraints..
The safety features off-road reduction gear and the electronic traction system enhancing their off-roading capabilities, with other standard safety measures like in other Premium SUV.
Mercedes-AMG GLS 63
The Mercedes-AMG GLS 63 is the performance SUV of the Mercedes-Benz GLS edition. The Mercedes-AMG GLS 63 is powered by a 5.5-litre V8 BiTurbo engine seen on the G63, but fine power tuning gives 577 bhp and 760 Nm of peak torque.
The Mercedes-AMG GLS 63 SUV is the perfect blend of speed and luxury and gets AMG bodystyling with the trademark Quad exhausts, LED Intelligent Light System with integrated LED DRLs and most noticeable red brake calipers. GLS 63 also get a panoramic sunroof, ORVM logo projectors, and an Electrically operated tailgate.
The Mercedes-AMG GLS 63 gets lots of Luxury features from AMG steering wheel finished in Nappa leather, temperature controlled cup holder ,multi-contour front seats with massage function, Thermotronic automatic climate control, memory package as well as a Harman Kardon Logic 7 surround system. These SUV’s also gets AMG Ride Control sports suspension setup with Active Curve Control to restrict body roll.
