The smartphone giant Huawei is in the market with Huawei P50 series devices called Huawei P50 and Huawei P50 Pro. It comes with an in house operating system and decent camera features. Pricing and availability

The pricing tag of the Huawei P50 Pro is 5,988 for the 8GB + 128GB storage model. The 8GB + 256GB variant costs CNY 6,488. The 8GB + 512GB storage variant is priced at CNY 7,488. The 8GB + 512GB storage costs CNY 7,488. The 12GB + 512GB model and Kirin 9000 SoC — one is priced at CNY 7,988, CNY 8,488 respectively.

Specifications of Huawei P50 Pro

Huawei P50 Pro sports a 6.6-inch full-HD+ OLED curved display with a punch-hole set up at the centre position of the screen. The resolution is 1,228×2,700 pixels and the  refresh rate is 120Hz. The display also comes with 300Hz touch sampling rate, a 1440Hz high frequency PWM dimming, 450ppi pixel density, and P3 wide colour gamut coverage. 

There are two processor options – HiSilicon Kirin 9000 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 888. It also packs up to 12GB RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage. The company offers the Nano Memory card for storage expansion.

As far as the cameras are concerned, the handset packs a quad camera setup. It is the combination of a 50-megapixel main camera with f/1.8 aperture and optical image stabilisation (OIS), along with a 40-megapixel monochrome lens with f/1.6 aperture. Moreover, it supports a 13-megapixel wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture, and a 64-megapixel telephoto camera with f/3.5 aperture. It has 3.5x optical zoom and 100x digital zoom. It sports a 13-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.4 aperture and auto focus support.

Huawei P50 Pro is running on HarmonyOS 2. It houses a 4,360mAh battery with 66W Wired Super Fast Charge and 50W Wireless Super Fast Charge. Moreover, it features wireless charging. The device is IP68-rated water and dust resistant as well.

Coming to the connectivity options, the gadget houses 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11 ax, Bluetooth v5.2, USB Type-C port, and NFC. The company has added  an in-display fingerprint sensor and the traditional security options.

Specifications of Huawei P50

Huawei P50 comes with a 6.5-inch full-HD+ OLED display with 1,224×2,700 pixels resolution. The display also features 90Hz refresh rate, 300Hz touch sampling rate, 1440Hz high frequency PWM dimming, 458ppi pixel density, and P3 wide colour gamut coverage. There is a punch-hole setup at the centre position of the screen. 

The mobile phone houses a Snapdragon 888 SoC, and that is paired with 8GB RAM. There is up to 256GB of internal storage. It has Nano Memory card support for storage expansion.

In terms of the camera department, it packs a triple camera setup. It consists of a 50-megapixel main camera with f/1.8 aperture, as well as a 13-megapixel secondary sensor with f/2.2 aperture. The camera setup also includes a 12-megapixel telephoto lens with f/3.4 aperture and OIS. It features 5x optical zoom and 50x digital zoom as well. The device supports the same selfie camera as the Pro model.

It has the support of HarmonyOS 2. It is supported by a 4,100mAh battery with 66W Wired Super Fast Charge. It comes with IP68-rated water and dust resistance. The other specifications are the same as the Pro model.
