Qualcomm, the world-famous chipset producing company, has unveiled the first device called Smartphone for Snapdragon Insiders. Qualcomm and Asus jointly have introduced the smartphone. It comes with the third-generation Snapdragon X60 5G modem. Qualcomm Signal Boost and Smart Transmit technologies, Spectra 580 image signal processor and Snapdragon Sound are some features of the gadget. Pricing and availability

The device is priced at $1,499. We can buy it via Asus online and offline retail channels from August. The gadget is available in China, Germany, Japan, Korea, US, and UK, and India.

Specifications of Smartphone for Snapdragon Insiders

The device supports a 6.78-inch full-HD+ Samsung AMOLED display with up to 1,200 nits of peak brightness, 20.4:9 aspect ratio and 2448 X 1080 pixels resolution. The display is Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. Moreover,  the handset supports HDR10+ along with 111.23 percent of DCI-P3 and HDR10. The Color gamut is 106.87 percent of NTSC. There is no cut-out on the top of the screen. The front camera and other sensors are placed at the top bezel.

The device packs Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC with 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM. It has a huge 512 GB of internal storage as well as a stock Android experience. It is based on Android 11 out-of-the-box.

The Smartphone for Snapdragon Insiders supports a triple rear camera setup. It consists of a 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 primary sensor with an f/1.8 lens, followed by a 12-megapixel Sony IMX363 sensor with an f/2.2 ultra-wide lens. The camera setup includes an 8-megapixel telephoto shooter. The main and telephoto sensors support optical image stabilization (OIS) as well. There is a 24-megapixel selfie shooter.

The handset has features like dual stereo speakers. Moreover, it paired with a smart AMP and Snapdragon Sound. It also has quad HDR microphones with 114dB dynamic range.

Speaking the connectivity options, the handset supports 5G, 4G LTE, Bluetooth v5.2 with aptX Adaptive support, Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi Direct, NFC, GPS/ A-GPS/ NavIC, and a USB Type-C port. The smartphone comes with a fingerprint sensor with a Qualcomm 3D Sonic Sensor Gen 2. Besides, it has an Illuminated Snapdragon fireball icon on the back.

It is supported by a 4,000mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 5.0 charging support.

The smartphone also supports MW08SI TWS earbuds that features 24-bit, 96kHz audio along with ultra-low latency. The earbuds are fueled by the Qualcomm QCC5141. It comes with Qualcomm Active Noise Cancellation and cVc echo cancellation and noise suppression technologies.
